IT

Stephen King’s ‘IT’ has been given a 2017 make over and I was super excited to watch this as the original was supposed to be terrifying!

I actually don’t remember the original or if I ever saw it but from the hype I was looking forward to super scary things.

When it comes to horror movies I have the most recent ones not so scary and unfortunately ‘IT’ falls into this bracket. In fact I think I laughed more opposed to screaming or hiding behind my popcorn.

The plot: 7 young kids face their worst fears, a shape shifting evil looking Clown who preys on children every 27 years. Together they work together to battle this evil.

The acting from the kids was brilliant in fact very comic in most parts, however it just wasn’t scary! The film reminded me of a mixture of The Goonies, The Hole and Jeepers Creepers.

This was just part one so lets hope part 2 has something better to offer!

So the last time I reviewed any movies was March 2016! Time has seriously flown by and I promise I will keep up with it this time round!

Added a new page (Movies 2017) and if I continue to be a social bee this year I will add so much more!

Thanks for reading x

Left to tell

After ages I have read an actual book, not a kindle but a paperback.

Left to tell by Immaculée Ilibagiza is her story of surviving the Rwandan Genocide.

Her story is sad yet so inspirational, I cant even imagine the horror and pain she went through to survive and tell her tale.

If you are looking to read something new then I would highly recommend this one.

Serial – the podcast

So a couple of weeks ago, my cousin created a group chat on whatsapp titled ‘serial – the podcast’.

I have heard of podcasts but never listened to any, the thought of listening to something other than music on my ipod has never appealed to me so I didn’t particularly pay much attention to the chat.

Anyway I decided to give it a go (mainly because everyone in the chat wouldn’t stop talking about it).

I was hooked after the 1st episode!!

What’s it about:

Adnan Syed was 17 when he was arrested for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Adnan was convicted and sentenced to life plus thirty years. Till today he proves his innocence.  Sarah Koenig a journalist picked this story up and set her investigation over 12 weeks via a podcast.

Want to know what happened? What did Sarah discover? Get listening! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The entire podcast can be found on the below:
